About BBC Radio 3

Listen online to the internet radio of BBC Radio 3 live here on Radio 2 You!
BBC Radio 3 is the second most listened to especially classical music broadcaster radio station in the UK, more than 2 million weekly listeners choose it for its conservative perspective in entertainment. It offers a mild mixture of speech related programmes and classical music. The orchestra-concert lovers can find their interest in the BBC Radio 3 schedule, because the “Radio 3 in Concert” takes place from 7:30pm to 10pm on each weekday, with live concert broadcasting. Every summer, the famous “BBC Proms” concerts are broadcasted live in this time-slot, expanded to the weekends. The “BBC Orchestras and Singers” features are also part of the programme structure. Besides the classical music, shifts to full time dramas and talks, about arts and culture diversify the schedule.
BBC Radio 3 has morning programme on every day of the week, from 6:30am to 9am on weekdays with Petroc Trelawny, and from 7am to 9am on weekends with Elizabeth Alker. The main function of BBC Radio 3 "breakfast show" is not to shrill for waking up the listeners, but to set the mornings' keynote by playing the classical music requests of the listeners besides the presenter's picks. On Wednesdays, a chosen artist is being introduced to the morning programme's listeners, and on Fridays, the morning show flashes a glance into the world of poetry.
