Gem 106 is Bauer Radio Ltd.’s radio station located in Nottingham and broadcasts on FM in the East Midlands, but also available on the digital ways. Part of Bauer's Hits Radio Network, and member of Planet Radio group. 457.000 weekly listeners choose the Gem for its colorful musical palette what selects from the last 30 years best pop and rock songs. The playlist’s genre selection expands with the Gem Anthems show every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings, when classic dance and R&B anthems are played.
Gem 106's schedule gives place regularly to the news-feed, which brings East Midlands, and Nottingham related news, travel-traffic info, and weather reports, and the important national, and international news are also broadcasted.
Gem 106 wakes-up with the "Gem At Breakfast with Jo & Sparky" on weekdays from 6am to 10am, which brightens-up the morning vibes with Jo Russel and Mark "Sparky" Colerangle.
On Sundays "The UK Chart Show" is broadcasted from 4pm to 7pm, which is Bauer's own, brand-new chart show led by Sarah-Jane Crawford, with the hottest 30 songs.

Bauer to network drivetime across 11 licences in North and Midlands
Bauer Media has announced plans to network Wes Butters and Gemma Atkinson across most of its big city stations in England, meaning 7 presenters will lose their daily drivetime show. Bauer gains approval to network breakfast shows
Ofcom has granted Bauer a number of Format changes to allow all of its stations to network all but three hours each weekday rather than the previous seven. UK commercial radio stations have been allowed to submit Format changes since the Localness Guidelines were amended last year, but Bauer has only just taken the steps required to allow this. Gem to take Hits Radio strapline and night programmes
Gem in the East Midlands is now identifying itself as playing The Biggest Hits, The Biggest Throwbacks, in line with Free Radio in the West Midlands and the Hits Radio network.
