Hits Radio started in June 4 2018, rebranding the former "Key 103" radio, and merging with the former "The Hits" radio, so created one expanded musical life source for Greater Manchester by the local Hits Radio Manchester radio, and a more expanded digital one, by the nationally available Hits Radio UK. Hits Radio Manchester and Hits Radio UK have more than 1 million weekly listeners.
Hits Radio is Bauer Radio Ltd.’s radio station and member of the Planet Radio radio station fleet, and the headquarters of Bauer's Hits Radio Brand, which is consisted of 43 radio stations (with the stations of the Greatest Hits Radio network), and has more than 6.4 million weekly listeners in the UK, so the third most listened to radio brand in the commercial segment.
Operating from Manchester, Hits Radio Manchester adjusts its programme stucture primarily for the people of Greater Manchester. Thus the local news bulletins are about this area, and besides that, national-international news are also take place in the schedule, which is partly broadcasts networked programming for Bauer's Hit Radio Network.
The music playlist selects from the last few years’ biggest hits, but primarily concentrating on the current biggest hits. Hits Radio Manchester is aspirant to be the living part of the listeners daily routine, so good-tempered presenters with dynamical music selection work together for showing a brighter perspective throughout the day.
Hits Radio Manchester ignites the weekday mornings from 6am to 10am with Wes Butters, Sheree Murphy and Dave Vitty in Hits Radio Manchester's breakfast show. On Sundays "The UK Chart Show" is broadcasted across the Hits Radio Network, which is Bauer's own, brand-new chart show led by Sarah-Jane Crawford, from 4pm to 7pm, with the hottest 30 songs.

Garry Spence to leave Capital Scotland for Clyde 1

Bauer to network drivetime across 11 licences in North and Midlands
Bauer Media has announced plans to network Wes Butters and Gemma Atkinson across most of its big city stations in England, meaning 7 presenters will lose their daily drivetime show. RAJAR Q2 2019: London and national brands round-up
Zoe Ball has lost more than three quarters of a million listeners to her BBC Radio 2 breakfast show, according to the latest audience research from RAJAR. The show’s reach is down 781,000 quarter-on-quarter to 8.266m for the three months survey period up to the 23rd June 2019. In Q1/19 she had 9.047m listeners; in Q2/2018 Chris Evans reached 9.038m. Bauer gains approval to network breakfast shows
Ofcom has granted Bauer a number of Format changes to allow all of its stations to network all but three hours each weekday rather than the previous seven. UK commercial radio stations have been allowed to submit Format changes since the Localness Guidelines were amended last year, but Bauer has only just taken the steps required to allow this. Meg McHugh to Chill on Hits Radio Scotland Network
Northsound Radio presenter Meg McHugh is to host the Hits Chilled show across the Hits Radio Network in Scotland. From Sunday 4th August, Meg will take over the Hits Chilled segment every Sunday to Thursday from 10pm to 1am across Clyde 1, Forth 1, Tay FM, Northsound 1, MFR, West FM and Radio Borders, replacing Ryan Borthwick. More daytime schedule changes at Hits Radio
Sarah-Jane Crawford is moving from the evening show to afternoons on Hits Radio, replacing Debbie Mac. As a result, Jordan Lee, currently covering the evening show, will replace Sarah-Jane from 7pm weekdays. Sarah-Jane will also continue on The UK Chart Show every Sunday 4-7pm.
