About 96.4 The Wave

Listen online to the internet radio of The Wave here, on Radio 2 You!
The Wave started in 1995, originally as 96.4 Sound Wave, but in 1998 the name changed to 96.4 The Wave. The Wave is Swansea Bay’s local radio station, with 145.000 weekly listeners across the UK by its analogue and digital broadcasts, and is in the ownership of Bauer Radio Ltd.
96.4 The Wave’s playlist brings a more diversified palette of music than the most common pop-orientated radios, because The Wave besides the pop, also fills its musical repertoire with rock, urban, and dance genres. The songs are chosen mainly from the current wave of music but sometimes older songs widens the soundtrack’s timeline.
As local station, The Wave ensures continuously the locally relevant news, travel-traffic, and weather information supplement for the people of Swansea Bay, and South West Wales.
The Wave is the home of “The Wave Breakfast with Leigh and Claire” breakfast show, from 6am to 10am on weekdays, where Claire Scott and Leigh Jones turn Swansea Bay’s foggy mornings into a joyful-chatful-tuneful happiness.
On Sundays, from 4pm to 7pm, "The Total Access Top 40" chart show, led by Olivia Jones is broadcasted, with the hottest 40 songs.

You can select The Wave's sister stations below the player, The Wave 80s for the greatest hits, and the temporarily working The Wave Christmas for celestial music during Christmas preparations (available in December)!

The Wave music genres: pop, rock, urban, dance

The Wave availability: You can tune in your traditional analogue radio on 96.4 FM in South West Wales, and also the digital solutions are available, we recommend the online radio stream via the internet.
