Virgin Radio UK is one of Wireless Group’s numerous radio stations. Distributed only digitally, and has 447.000 weekly listeners in the UK. Its playlist selects from the 80s to the present, so classic songs and new ones go through the day mainly from the pop and rock genres. Every day from 6am to 23pm presenters oversee the programme, and lead the mix of music and conversations, phone-ins. In the night-time, automated playlist serves the ceaseless music until morning.

Radio professionals head to Student Radio event in Swansea
A number of radio presenters, producers and management are in sharing their experience and knowledge with students in Swansea this week. talkSPORT has begun broadcasts from its new home on the 17th floor of the News UK building at London Bridge, after almost 20 years at Hatfields. talkSPORT 2 makes the move to News UK building
News UK is welcoming the talkSPORT 2 team to its building as the station moves out of its home in Hatfields. The station is tweeting video content of the presenters in the new studio from this morning, which is in Southwark overlooking the River Thames, next to The Shard. Virgin Radio is already broadcasting from the News UK HQ, with Chris Evans currently using the future talkRADIO studio ahead of a larger studio being completed for his own show and the rest of the station.More >>

Chris Evans Show to be advert free on Virgin Radio
The Chris Evans Breakfast Show on Virgin Radio will be free of commercials when it launches on January 21st 2019. Instead, a sponsorship deal has been agreed in principle between Virgin Radio UK and Sky to promote the television services on the radio. Listeners moving with Chris from commercial-free BBC Radio 2 will no doubt welcome the news. Zoe Ball to replace Chris Evans on BBC Radio 2 Breakfast
Zoe Ball will take over as the new permanent presenter on the BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show from 2019, Chris Evans has announced on-air.
